My Monthly round up of music videos. Some great music around in October, but I managed a good mix with old favourites and new acts. With two great covers: one by Lankum, 'Ghost Town', a song from 1981 by The Specials, and 'I See A Darkness', from Will Oldham, aka Bonnie Prince Billy, from 1999, by Anna Calvi. As always play loud. The passing of David Ball, on October 22, came as a chock. He was only 66, a year younger than me. He is best known as one half of the synth-pop duo Soft Cell, alongside vocalist Marc Almond. As a tribute a link to one of the best pop tracks ever, from January 1982, the video was directed by Tim Pope, and Ball is the man standing in front of the Pink Flamingo. 'Say Hello, Wave Goodbye'
Enjoy.
